South African President to visit Namibia

The President of South Africa, H.E, Cyril Ramaphosa will pay a courtesy visit on H.E President Hage Geingob on Friday, according to the Office of the President.

In a statement released this week, the visit by the Deputy Chairperson of the Southern African Development Community, (SADC) and its incoming chair will focus his visit focus on regional issues including bilateral relations between the two countries.

Cyril Ramaphosa, leader of South Africa’s ruling party, the African National Congress, was recently elected to be the nation’s new president after former president Jacob Zuma announced his resignation earlier this month.

Meanwhile President Ramaphosa and his delegation will depart Namibia on Saturday morning according to the statement.
