Vice President Mbumba takes the baton at University of Namibia

Namibia’s newly-appointed Vice President, HE Nangolo Mbumba is now also the Chancellor of the University of Namibia, the university’s Public Relations Officer, Simon Namesho announced on Wednesday.

The mostly ceremonial position of Chancellor has been vacant since the former Chancellor, HE Hifikepunye Pohamba’s term ended in November last year.

Mr Mbumba will officially be sworn in by HE Pohamba at a date to be announced by the university.
