Minister of Presidential Affairs relieved of duties due to ill-health

The President, Dr. Hage Geingob this week relieved Hon. Immanuel Ngatjizeko from his duties as Minister of Presidential Affairs on account of ill-health.

The decision based on recommendation by of Ngatjizeko’s physician is with immediate effect.

Commending Ngatjizeko for his contributions in different capacities, President Geingob said, “You have been a model cadre and an outstanding servant to the people of Namibia, and this is evident through your reputation as an admired and respected leader within the community.”

Meanwhile, the President wished Ngatjizeko well and would like to thank him for the invaluable and exemplary contribution to the SWAPO Party, the government and the people.

Under President Hage Geingob, Ngatjizeko was moved to the post of Minister of Industrialisation, Trade and SME Development in March 2015. In a Cabinet reshuffle in February 2018 he became Minister of Presidential Affairs.
