Netman 4G TV ad wins award at Africom

TC’s Netman 4G TV advertisement took the silver at the 5th Annual Africacom 2012 Awards Gala dinner held in Cape Town on Wednesday. The Netman 4G TV commercial was shortlisted in what seemed to be the group of death, in the Best Marketing Campaign category.
AfricaCom Awards’ Emily Martyr commented that competition was fierce this year with a record number of entries, up 60% on last year, which itself was a bumper year. “The quality and number of entries into these awards are testament to the importance of this sector across Africa” she said.
Miguel Geraldes, MD of MTC, who accepted the award on behalf of MTC said he was proud of this achievement seeing that the competition was tough and that MTC came out tops ahead of all mobile giants in this category.
“This award is not just for MTC but it speaks volumes about the creativity of the Namibian people and we are happy to accept this on behalf of the Namibian people and our creative team,” Geraldes said.
Prezence Digital, who emerged winners in this category, is a prominent and successful digital media company. The annual Africacom Conference is Africa’s premier annual telecoms, media and ICT conference and exhibition and the awards are a true celebration of vision and progress in the African telecoms industry.
