(Photograph by Lorato Khobetsi)Castle Brewing launched its 11th annual Castle Lager “Summer Sizzle” Northern Roadshow this week.  It consists of eight shows at various bars in Oshakati, Ondangwa, Outapi and Oshikango. The roadshow kicks off on 07 December at the SuperSports Bar in Oshakati.
Castle Lager has confirmed the performances of Jericho, Vanuty, Tequila, Fresh Family, Sunny Boy, Onderata and The Dogg.
Lemmy Shapopi, Corporate Affairs Manager of CBN, explained that Castle Lager is an obvious choice to associate with this musical event, since the brand is about bringing people together. He said the company strongly believes that an event like the Castle Lager Roadshow has the higher aim of supporting the local community in a fundamental way.
“Through partnership with local venues in the North, it brings [additional] value to [our] business partners on the ground and provides us an opportunity to connect with our customers.
“The prosperity of local communities and that of our operations are mutually dependent. Our corporate social investment activities aim to improve the quality of life for local people, helping us to build strong relationships with communities, consumers and our employees.”
From November until mid-January, Castle Lager is running its “Soccer Sizzle” promotion where consumers can win one of five sets of tickets to see an all-expenses-paid, live English Premiership League game in the United Kingdom.
The Castle Lager team will also be hosting “Kasi Kick-Off” activations at selected outlets, which promises festive fun during the hot Namibian holiday season. At these promotional events, goal-kicking skills will be tested with instant prizes up for grabs.
