Local entrepreneurs invited to participate in Commonwealth pitch programme

The United Kingdom Embassy in Namibia has invited local business people to participate in the Pitch@Palace Commonwealth programme for 2018, a programme which showcases entrepreneurs from the 52 Commonwealth.

The programme will support selected entrepreneurs by connecting them to local and international networks to help amplify their businesses.

As part of the Pitch@Palace Global network, it will build connectivity between Commonwealth countries and other key markets and the deadline for applications is 7 February.

“This is a great opportunity for Namibian entrepreneurs and start-ups to pitch for funding to CEOs, angel investors, mentors and potential business partners – and be apart of the summit week,” the Embassy said.

This year, the Pitch@Palace Commonwealth will take place at the St. James’s Palace in London on 16 April as part of the Commonwealth Summit.

The Summit’s theme is ‘Towards a common future’ and is focused on building on the strengths of the Commonwealth to ensure responsiveness to global challenges and delivery of a more prosperous, secure, sustainable and fair future for all Commonwealth citizens.

Further details in the programme can be found at http://pitchatpalace.com/commonwealth/
