The Youth Football Development Programme of Arcadia Football Club has received a boost for its four-team tournament to be held on Saturday at the Khomasdal Stadium.
The Bernahard Houcamp Centre (BHC) has offered support in the form of trophies for all the categories winners as well as a ball for each of the participating teams in a tournament that will see four teams taking part in the under 11, under 13 and under 15 categories.
This will be the second year running that the BHC supports the year end tournament that will see players from the Youth Football Development of Arcadia, Scorpions, BHC and Auas taking to the field for the various prizes.
The youth football development programme of Arcadia has been running the coaching programme at the khomasdal field every Saturday, giving a chance to young players who would otherwise not be able to attend daily coaching programmes offered by the various academies.
The programme also offers an opportunity for the players to compete. Due to limited resourses available to the club in terms of personnel and finance, training is only offered once a week to the young players.
Registration for the programme takes place beginning of the year in February, and the programme runs until end of October.
