DStv Mobile unveils the Walka 7

DStv Mobile has unveiled its latest world-class offering – the new Walka 7. Set to captivate the local market in the run-up to the festive season, the device is the ideal addition to the brand’s range of innovative gadgets.
In a statement, Multichoice Namibia says DStv Mobile’s new Walka 7 is perfect for Namibians living in Windhoek who enjoy a fast-paced urban lifestyle, and want to remain “in the know” whilst “on the go”.Complete with a seven inch screen, it is a portable TV with enhanced visual and audio quality. The device is simple and easy to use, allowing customers to switch on and use it immediately – delivering on DStv Mobile’s promise of “TV anywhere, anytime”.
“The massive growth in new technologies seen both locally and across Africa has shown consumers’ readiness and appetite for innovative intuitive devices like the Walka 7,” says Ali Majiet, Acting General Manager of MultiChoice Namibia Mobile. “DStv Mobile has thus launched the Walka 7 – providing subscribers with a device that has a larger screen and improved battery life.”
The Walka 7 can be used to access all of the great content subscribers have come to expect from DStv Mobile, including sport, music, general entertainment and children’s programming. 
MultiChoice Namibia added that it is pleased to announce that we will be offering the top most DStv Mobile package – the Maxi Plus at no additional cost to DStv Premium subscribers.  Furthermore, the Maxi bouquet will be available to all DStv Compact & DStv Family subscribers. 
What subscribers need to do is make a once off purchase of the preferred device and it will be activated to their active DStv account.
The Walka 7 has a signal strength and battery indicator in the user interface and an antenna that can be extended and positioned vertically to improve reception where necessary.
Its launch comes just in time for the festive season, with the device arguably the perfect Christmas gift and/or travelling companion for the children in the car or at the airport over the holidays.
Available at MultiChoice centers and select retailers, the Walka 7 retails at a recommended price of N$899.00 The device comes with a mini USB cable (for charging the battery), a USB charger, a stand and the user manual.
