The search for new Windhoek Lager Ambassadors has started with the first nominations being called for in the category of education for the month of October.
Dr. Kagiso Moloi, well-known dentist and jazz presenter on NBC National Radio and one of the judges said: “We are extremely excited that we are now up and running. Months of preparation have now reached the point where we are eagerly awaiting nominations from the public. The month of October is education month and we therefore call on Namibians to send in nominations of extraordinary Namibians in the field of education.”
Dr. Moloi explained: “We are looking for people who make a difference, who remain true to who they are and people who will not compromise. Nominate a local legend in the field of education for this month and you also stand a chance of winning N$5000 and a spot as guest judge on the panel.”
Namibia Breweries Limited has clarified the criteria for nominations and advised that the story of a nominated Ambassador must demonstrate personal values that Windhoek Lager shares. Jacquiline Pack, Senior Brand Manager, Windhoek Trade Mark said that the values must include determination, courage, resilience, perseverance, humility and being true to one’s roots and oneself.
“This is a campaign of inspiration, not aspiration. We want all Namibians to identify with our ambassadors and to be inspired by them,” Pack added.
Every month a new category will be announced and these will include community, sports, health, science and technology, business, conservation and the arts. “Namibians may, of course also send in nominations in these categories, but for this month we are eagerly awaiting nominations for the education sector,” Dr. Moloi concluded.
