New dental council

The new committee of the Namibia Dental Association was elected and announced recently at the medical authority’s annual congress, this year held in Otjiwarongo. Following the congress, the new council said in a statement “This is the first time in three years that a new President has been elected.”  Dr Kagiso Moloi, outgoing President of the NDA said: ‘I have come to the end of my Presidency and know that the new committee is fully committed to this cause and will lead the Dental Association to more greatness”. Local dentist Dr Coenie de Villiers was elected as the new President, as he has been part of the committee for the past two years. Previously Dr de Villiers was the vice president. He expressed his delight with the election saying he is very committed to the dental council’s work. “We are already planning new and exciting things for the dentistry fraternity in Namibia. Not only have we revamped and reworked the website but we also plan many more excursions.” Three new members also joined the committee namely Dr Helie Badenhorst, Dr Hanré Myburgh and Dr Roland Andreae.
