UNAM, UNDP to promote research dialogues on national and international development plans

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS) and the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences (FEMS) at the University of Namibia (UNAM), in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)from 17 to 18 October at the Safari Hotel and Conference.

The joint conference titled: Sustainable Economic Growth and Social Development will run under the theme: “Practical research towards Sustainable Economic Growth and Social Development”.

The organisors this week said the keynote addresss: Research Towards Sustainable Economic growth and Social Development will be delivered by the Minister of Economic Planning, Hon.Tom Alweendo.

The Conference aims to promote empirical research dialogues on national and international development plans. It is intended that through this dialogues, academic, government and non-governmental institutions and organisations will map out effective policy implementation strategies that will ultimately contribute towards sustainable development.
