Nuyoma moves to GIPF hot seat

Well respected Development Bank of Namibia CEO, David Nuyoma, has been appointed as CEO and Principle Officer of the Government Institutions Pension Fund (GIPF) replacing Maria Dax who has been acting CEO since the retirement of former boss Primus Hangu.
Nuyoma’s appointment is effective 01 January 2013.
The appointment of Nuyoma to the helm of the country’s biggest pension fund after nine years leading the Development Bank of Namibia has caught many people by surprise.
Martin Inkumbi, the Development Bank’s Head of Lending will take over from Nuyoma albeit in  acting capacity for a period of between six and 12 months.
