Soroses replaced by Haifidi as Airports Company boss

The Namibia Airports Company board of directors has appointed Lot Haifidi as the acting Chief Executive Officer as of 1 September until further notice.

Haifidi replaced Josephine Soroses, who was appointed on 21 June, as the acting CEO following the suspension of Tamer El-Kallawi.

According to NAC board chairperson Rodgers Kauta in a statement, the decision to appoint Haifidi was taken by resolution during a special board meeting that was held last week.

Meanwhile, Haifidi’s appointment came at the time that he served as as the NAC’s strategic executive for corporate governance.

Kauta said that the board trusts in Haifidi’s abilities to lead the institution in executing the NAC’s statutory mandate of managing, operating and controlling all civil aviation airports in the country.
