Do you have what it takes? – ‘The Encounter’ auditions set for next week at National Theatre

Auditions for the play titled ‘The Encounter’ will take place on 23 and 24 August at the National Theatre of Namibia NTN.

The Encounter is a mystery and suspense drama about three men who each arrive at a bar through an anonymous invitation, leading to them having to uncover how closely their lives are linked as events of the past unfold.

The play is written and directed by drama and film student, Jason Kooper, a newcomer to the national theatre stage.

The characters to be auditioned for are as follows:

* Chase/Ayden: Chase is an escort agent in his early twenties. He suffers from multiple personality disorder which causes him to have blackouts. He is a care free, flamboyant, cheerful and an adventurous character. While his alter-ego, Ayden is cruel, sarcastic, scheming and deceitful.

* Daniel: A bartender in his mid-twenties, who is rude, sarcastic, quick tempered and impatient.

* Christopher: Is a lawyer in his mid-twenties and is funny, cheerful, friendly and high spirited with a dry sense of humour.

The auditions will take place at the national theatre’s Green Room from 15h00 to 19h00 on both days.
