CRW managing partner, Neels van Wyk, announced his semi-retirement earlier this week.

The auditing firm C R van Wyk and Company (CRVW) bid farewell to its founder Neels van Wyk, at a function held at The Hilton Hotel on Tuesday evening. He is retiring from the firm which he founded in January 1996 but will still be associated as a consultant for the foreseeable future. Mr. Adriaan Kotze will serve as new Managing Partner of the firm with, Colyn Hendriks (Partner), Tjaart de Jager (Partner) and Rudolph van Wyk (Associate Director). The firm also announced the formation of Mazars Namibia, an audit firm registered with The Institute of Chartered Accountants Namibia (ICAN), with effect from 1 July 2012. Mazars Namibia is a joint venture between CRVW and Mazars South Africa. Its local presence was established to provide audit and related services to current and potential Mazars clients in Namibia. Both firms will operate independently, each with its own client base but operating from the same premises at 29 Feld Street in Windhoek. Mazars Namibia forms part of the International firm of Mazars which operates in 69 countries and have more than 13000 professional staff members.
