At an exciting event held recently, Old Mutual handed over the Victory Race prizes to the different men and women that took part in the Old Mutual Race Series that were held in Keetmanshoop, Oshakati, Swakopmund and Windhoek.
Speaking at the prize giving ceremony, Vetumbuavi Veii the Director of the Ministry of Youth, National Service, Sports and Culture said that contributions made towards sports development is not only to that sector alone but all other sectors within the economy. He said that public funds alone are never enough to fully develop sports and thanked Old Mutual for their investment towards social development.

Gim Victor, CEO: Retail Business – Old Mutual said that great sports careers do not start with the worldly events such as the Olympics or the World cup. “They begin in the back yards, side streets and school playing fields right around our country.”
He said that their intentions are to support local athletes and in the same vein encourage them to continue participating in one of the biggest sporting events in our country and urged athletes to continue to discover the talents they never knew that they had.
