Namibia Dairies, the country’s largest dairy producer recently invested N$25 million in the installation of a Tetra Pak A3/Flex iLine, a high-speed, aseptic filling machine.
The company says the installation of the machine will enable it to guarantee even higher standards of food safety for its Nammilk Farm Fresh UHT milk.
Hubertus Hamm, MD of Namibia Dairies explained: “The filling line also means Namibia Dairies can now offer its loyal consumers a modern pack that allows for better handling, and because of the twist cap, there is less spillage, better pouring and it is re-sealable.”
He said that the combination of optimised processing and aseptic packaging possible with Tetra Pak filling machines as well as the multilayer packaging which keeps out anything that might spoil the products – oxygen, light, or even flavours from outside the cartons – will ensure Nammilk Farm Fresh UHT milk stays the way nature intended: nutritious, tasty and preservative-free.
