Local fashion industry to learn from Germany

Acting Executive Director of the Fashion Council of Namibia, Kalistu Mukoroli, has been invited to visit Germany from 2 to 8 July for an event themed “Berlin Fashion Week- The Creative Industries and Sustainability”.

Mukoroli’s visit is courtesy of the Visitors Programme of the German Federal Government and he will be part of a group that will include specialist journalists, young designers and other representatives of the creative industries from around the world.

During their time in the country the group will be introduced to the fashion industry in Germany and will also experience how the creative industries are promoted as well as insights into Berlin’s fashion scene.

The group will visit showrooms, small start-ups, internationally-operating fashion labels, as well as fashion institutes in Berlin and Brandenburg and there will aslo be opportunities to network with well-known representatives of the German fashion industry.
