A N$100,000 grant to The Narravile Elderly Home Trust from Mäck Fishing was a welcome injection to assist the old age home in Walvis Bay to continue with its construction programme. Walvis Bay major, Cllr Derek Klazen officiated at the occasion saying “This donation caries special significance as it puts in motion a dream that the Office of the Mayor and members of the trust had since 2004 to have an Old Age Home constructed for the residents of Narraville. We have through our communication with the community of Narraville realised the need for an Old Age home and we as Council remain committed to this process”
Klazen said the Walvis Bay Town Council will make land available based on the actual needs of the community while factoring in the fact that the need for accommodating the elderly may grow from time to time. “I would like to thank Mr. Van Wyk, Mr. Manuela and Mr. Katzao and all the companies involved in this process” said the mayor.
