Cyclist’s dream come true
Old Mutual Investment Group CEO, Lionel Matthews handed over a sponsorship of N$10 000 to cyclist, Nick du Plessis who will represent the country at the Road Bike World Championship scheduled for Pietermaritzburg, South Africa later this month. Du Plessis who has been cycling for eight years said the sponsorship was a dream come true for him as previously he could not take part in the time trial that was held in Europe because of financial problems. With the assistance from Old Mutual, Du Plessis said he will now take his entire family with for moral support. Du Plessis will take part in the time trials on Thursday, 23 August and in the 112km Road Race, on 26 August.
