Black belts learn from the best

Eight local black belts form the Goju Ryu Karate recently returned from an International Karate Coaching Seminar that was held in Japan, Naha City. The seminar, held for over 2 weeks, was presented by top senior instructors of the International Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate Federation to more than 600 participants from 43 countries. Participants say their experience in Japan was unbelievable as they were taught by Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate masters such as Morio Higaonna Sensei, the 10th Dan grandmaster of the International Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate-Do Federation along with various other 8th and 7th Dan black belt instructors. The principles of pure traditional Goju Ryu karate was again emphasised to all participiants. The returnees say they will be sharing their knowledge gained from the seminar with other Namibian Karate students.
