Foundation donates to charities

The Sam Nujoma Foundation this month donated N$50,000 to five charities that run Early Childhood Development programmes and orphanages.
The beneficiaries were Walvis Bay Kids Haven in Walvis Bay, James Havey Children’s Home in Tsumeb, Dr Sam Nujoma Kindergarten and Pre-Primary School in Windhoek, Casa Angelo Children’s Home in Grootfontein and Chesire Home in Katima Mulilo.
The five charities received N$10,000 each. The money donated was given to the organisation by the Namibia Institute of Pathology on the Founding Father, Dr Sam Nujoma’s 83 rd birthday.
Secretariat of the Sam Nujoma Foundation, John Nauta said the gesture is part of the Foundation’s goal to identify and work in programming areas where the founding father can provide leadership and initiatives thereby ensuring that his ideals remain of benefit to present and future generations in Namibia.
He also said that the foundation assists charities, individuals, vulnerable groups and students if funds and materials are available. The foundation will jointly extend invitations to companies and individuals to a fund raising planned for the Peoples’ Primary School in September or November this year.
