Namibian soccer coaches receive their coaching certificates

15 December 2016 – Earlier this month, two Namibian soccer coaches returned from Hennef in Germany after successfully completing a three-week international coaching course.

Upon their return to Namibia, the two coaches received their course certificates from the Cultural Officer in the German Embassy, Ulrich Kinne. The certificates are issued by the German Football Association.

Britz is the head coach of the U20 women’s national team while Mbakera is the head coach of the U17 women’s national team.

Both youth coaches successfully completed the annual International Coaching Course in Hennef organised by the German Football Association and the Federal Foreign Office. This year, 26 coaches from 20 countries took part in the course. The training courses have proven to be extremely effective in developing coaching skills.

Timothy Tjongarero, the Education Officer at the Namibia Football Association, who was also present at the certificate ceremony, praised the opportunities and the outcomes of the training provided by the German Football Association.

Other Namibian coaches who have completed the same course in the past are the current head coach of the Brave Warriors, Ricardo Mannetti and the head coach of the Brave Gladiators, Jacqui Shipanga.
