Langstrand Beach to hold International Festival by the sea

13 December 2016 – Namibia will host an International Beach and Cultural Festival at the, Langstrand Beach on 24 and 25 December.

Media officer, Paula Olivier from the Namibia Tourism Board said, the event will be hosted by Flying Promotions, an international events management company, that contributes positively to the growth of the tourism sector through collaborating and interacting with people and organizations across the southern African region.

Olivier said, the festival will specifically focus on Namibia as a tourist destination of choice and the event is supported and has been endorsed by the Namibia Tourism Board, the Ministry of Environment and Tourism and the Regional Tourism Organization of Southern Africa (RETOSA).

According to her, the two-day festival will feature local and international musicians and DJs, safe play parks for children, a beach volleyball and beach 5-aside soccer tournament, wine tasting, cultural food stalls, a consumer expo and activities such as camel rides, quad biking, dolphin cruises, helicopter rides, and much more other activities.

The world is invited to celebrate Christmas in the only country in the world where the desert meets the ocean,” she said.

Meanwhile, she said that with a focus on responsible entertainment, the festival arena will be closed off with secure entrances and demarcated areas.Ticket prices are as follows: N$150 General, N$70 Kids, N$500 VIP and N$ 1,500 VVIP and they will be available at Computicket beforehand or can it be bought at the venue.
