Property deals grow by 25%

In spite of the severe economic downturn, estate agents still managed to grow the property deals financed through Standard Bank by 25% for the period from 01 August 2015 to 30 September 2016.

This was revealed at the Estate Agents and Developers awards where the recognises the best estate agents for their contribution to new business.

Every year Standard Bank runs a campaign for estate agents as an incentive to approach the bank first as financier. The campaign came to an end on 30 September this year. During November the best performers for the Windhoek area were announced at the awards event.

Yolanda Enslin, Ricky Hameva and Delene Titus were named the best estate agents in the Platinum Millionaires Club which is the top category. Other categories are the Gold Millionaires Club, the Silver Millionaires Club and the Commercial Developer of the Year.

The number of participating agents increased by 34%.

“This growth in participants directly resulted in year on year growth of 25% in new business generated through Standard Bank for the campaign period from 1 August 2015 to 30 September 2016. This year the bank split its estate agents awards into two events, one for those based in Windhoek and the other for the north and coast combined” said Randy Slabbert, the bank’s Head of Product.
