Organisers happy with outcome of Sport Festival

The Janine and Suzelle Davin Trust FNB WHS Sport Festival brought together hundreds of learners from different schools to compete in a variety of sport codes.
Herman Davin, Trustee of the Davin Trust said: “Since the inaugural ceremony in 2008, the Janine and Suzelle Davin Sport Trust has gone from strength to strength, assisting increasingly more Namibian sportsmen and women to partake in sport and reaching their goals in their respective fields.”
The festival was held for the first time in 2007 and quickly caught the imagination as top rugby schools like Grey College, Paul Roos and Paarl Boys High from South Africa and Hastings from New Zealand competed against local schools like the hosts WHS, HTS and Elnatan.
FNB as the main sponsor, was also delighted with the professional and well executed sports festival.
Dawn Humphries, communications manager FNB said they are proud of the trust’s achievement. She said the tournament has boosted school sports not only in Namibia but other countries as well. She applauded organisers for an even bigger and better tournament.
