Swimmers improve on personal times

The first Bank Windhoek Long Course Gala for the 2016/2017 swimming season was held at the Olympia Swimming Pool last weekend. This was the fourth consecutive year that Bank Windhoek has sponsored the long course galas for a season. A total of 77 swimmers took part in the event, representing three clubs: Aqua Swimming and Fitness Club (11 swimmers), Dolphins Swimming Club (57 swimmers) and Namib Swim Academia (9 swimmers). Although no records were broken at the gala over the weekend, it was an impressive start to the long course season. Just over 152 improved, personal best, times were set. The next long course gala is scheduled for 5 November and will be held in the 50m swimming pool at Tsumeb, which will then be the second long course for the season.
