Awards for Oshela

Eunike Shinyongo (middle) in full academic splendour is the Head of Mathematics and Science at Oshela Senior Secondary School at Okongo. She is flanked by the school’s principal, Isidor Haufiku (left) and the Arsenic Plant Manager at Dundee Precious Metals Tsumeb, Fillipus Shimhanda. Dundee donated N$10,000 to the school to host a day of motivational speeches and to confer awards on outstanding learners as motivation for even better performance. Principal Haufiku said the new-found inspiration and motivation will usher the learners into their final exams with a whole new approach on success and hard work to make a difference, not only in their community and country but the world at large.
