Windhoek – Doha flight route commences

Hosea International Airport welcomed Qatar Airways inaugural landing on Wednesday morning. The landing kick started Qatar’s service route which will operate four weekly direct flights between Windhoek and Doha. The route between Windhoek and Doha is part of the airline’s network expansion of 14 new world destinations which will connect passengers flying from Namibia to more than 150 global destinations via Qatar Airways’ state-of-the-art hub and home Hamad International Airport in Doha. In the picture, a VIP delegation from Doha, that included Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer, Dr. Hugh Dunleavy and Namibia’s Ambassador to Qatar, Japhet Isaack, Qatar’s ambassador to South Africa, Salim Abdullah Sultan Al Jaber and other officials at the airport. Chief Executive Officer, Namibia Tourism Board, Mr. Digu Naobeb at a press briefing said that the new flight route provides the opportunity to promote Namibia as a business and leisure destination among Qatar Airways wide network of travellers.
