Reality Check Workshop to boost women

The Namibian Business Innovation Centre will host a  Reality Check Workshop next week 20 June aimed at empowering female entrepreneurs and businesswomen at its innovation village.
The workshop will coach women how to plan and achieve their goals, both short and long term. It also teaches and encourages them to have a healthy work and life balance.
Angela von Wietersheim, manager of innovation marketplace at the Namibian Business Innovation Centre said that women are the lifeline of the country as they keep families and the economy together with their dedication and hard work. And since they recognise this, they believe that women need to be nurtured, encouraged, and stimulated at every possible opportunity.
“Namibian women can start [taking control] by participating in this workshop and make the necessary changes in their lives” says von Wietersheim.
She said that balancing life situations requires women to be creative, starting with small steps as well as laying the foundation upon which success will be built.
The workshop will be hosted by Deidre Carballo, a success coach and writer of the goals guide called, “Journey of a Thousand Miles to Successful Living.”
Carballo, A graduate from the University of Namibia with a BA in Psychology, started counselling at Lifeline/Childline. She studied Success Coaching and Neuro Linguistic Programming in the UK and coached and trained people across the world including at the Namibian Women Summit.
