Interim director for MISA announced
The National Governing Council of the Media Institute of Southern Africa has appointed Ngamane Karuaihe-Upi, the current programmes manager, as the acting national director of the local chapter, for the foreseeable future. The Media Institute of Southern Africa Namibia is an advocacy membership-based organization that strives to promote, assist and ensure that media freedom, diversity, the independence and pluralistic landscape of the media in Namibia remain a formidable force in this democratic country. Building on the Access to Information Campaign, the entrenchment of the media code of ethics amongst media practitioners, and broadening the membership base are the areas of interest that the Media Institute of Southern Africa Namibia has embarked on.
