N$28 million later and the Otter swims again

The Hangana Seafood team that husbanded one of their vessels, the Otter Bank, through its two-year, N$28 million refurbishment process. The refurbishment has given new life to the Otter Bank, one of eight vessels owned by Hangana. The trawl doors, main winch, net drums and winches needed attention. New custom designed Carrel winches from Spain were installed while the vessel was fitted with an ABC engine to enable it to run on Intermediate Fuel Oil supporting Hangana’s commitment to reduce its carbon footprint. Today the Typesetter is a position at a newspaper that is mostly outdated since lead typesetting disappeared about fifty years ago. It is however a convenient term to indicate a person that is responsible for the technical refinement of publishing including web publishing. The Typesetter does not contribute to editorial content but makes sure that all elements are where they belong. - Ed.
