Rowles conquers the Oanob Triathlon

Andrew Rowles pedals past the start point during Oanob Triathlon which took place recently. The race held last week involved a 1.2km swim followed by a hilly and hard 30km Mountain bike ride and then a similarly hard mountainous run of 8 km. Paddy Murphy, Namibia’s foremost veteran swimmer, took the lead in the swim coming out of the water 24 seconds in front of Andrew Rowles. However, Andrew Rowles was set to win this race and pushed hard to catch and overtake Paddy on the cycle track that forms part of the Oanob Game Park. From that point on Andrew stayed in the front, continuously increasing his lead and winning the race in a time of 2 hrs 17 minutes.

Today the Typesetter is a position at a newspaper that is mostly outdated since lead typesetting disappeared about fifty years ago. It is however a convenient term to indicate a person that is responsible for the technical refinement of publishing including web publishing. The Typesetter does not contribute to editorial content but makes sure that all elements are where they belong. - Ed.
