Waltons Namibia announced the appointment of Etienne Visser as its new MD. Visser takes over the reins from former MD, Victor Boshoff who was at the helm of the company for the past four years. He is no stranger to the stationery and furniture industries and has been working in this sector for more than two decades, seven of which was with Waltons. His tertiary qualification includes a degree (B.Soc.Sc Social Work) from the University of the Orange Free State. He joined Waltons in 2009 as the Superstore Manager. “I am honoured and excited about this new role in Waltons. I’ll be following in the footsteps of my predecessors who have laid the foundation for me to take Waltons to even greater heights. It’s going to be a challenging task, but I’m looking forward to it,” said Etienne. He added that his drive as new MD will be to make Waltons a shining example of business excellence in Namibia through continuous investment in employee development.
