Apple Premium Reseller now open

iStore celebrated the opening of their first flagship store in The Grove Mall last week in Windhoek.
As an Apple Premium Reseller (APR), iStore is a dedicated hub for Apple products and accessories.
With 23 stores in Africa, iStore claims it is the largest Apple reseller in Africa. iStore aims to maximise the value of Apple offerings to customers by providing an authentic Apple experience and after-sales services such as in-store complimentary training, technical support, and technical set-up.
iStore opened for the festive season in December and celebrated this opening officially last week. At the event, comedian Neville Basson entertained, while guests learnt more about iStore offerings and got the opportunity to be hands on with Apple products.
“The recent opening of iStore Namibia and Zambia is an important milestone. It signals the start of iStore’s SADC expansion,” said Chris Dodd, the iStore SADC Commercial Director.
“iStore now has more than 23 stores, mainly in South Africa but also in Nigeria and Zambia with a further five to six stores across southern Africa in the pipeline. With so many stolen and counterfeit products it is important for us to give customers peace of mind that they have full after-sales service including the Apple guarantee, technical support and training. Namibian customers can now engage with Apple products in the same way as our international consumers are used to,” he added.
iStore is now one of two Apple Authorised Service Centres in Namibia. This certification is granted by Apple, and facilitates the purchase of Apple genuine parts and certified technical staff. It also enables the service centre to repair any Apple product under warranty as well as provide out of warranty parts.
Said Dodd: “iStore also offers free basic product training and services to all customers. I can’t think of any other product or brand where you get this level of support without paying anything extra.”
To celebrate the opening of iStore in The Grove Mall of Namibia, for a limited time only, customers will receive Microsoft Office 365 for free when they buy any Mac or iPad.
Businesses or companies that buy three or more Macs will receive Microsoft Office Home and Business 2016 for free. In line with the focus on education, students, teachers and lecturers also qualify for 5% off any Mac all year around.

Typesetter

Today the Typesetter is a position at a newspaper that is mostly outdated since lead typesetting disappeared about fifty years ago. It is however a convenient term to indicate a person that is responsible for the technical refinement of publishing including web publishing. The Typesetter does not contribute to editorial content but makes sure that all elements are where they belong. - Ed.
