Mazda flies as independent dealership

The Mazda brand this week crawled out from under its bigger brother’s wing when it left the Novel Ford dealership in Independence Avenue to move to its own glitzy premises in Windhoek’s Lazarett Street opposite Pupkewitz MegaBuild. “This opening represents the Namibian component of a trend that has been sweeping the globe which is the complete image and technology make-over that Mazda has undergone,” said Ricardo Raposo, Managing Director of Novel Motor Company. The new showroom offers adequate floor space to showcase the variety of models under the Mazda marque. Officiating at the opening ceremony are His Excellency Hideyuki Sakamoto (left), the Japanese Ambassador to Namibia and Albert Pretorius, the Dealer Principal. (Photograph by Ogone Tlhage).

Typesetter

Today the Typesetter is a position at a newspaper that is mostly outdated since lead typesetting disappeared about fifty years ago. It is however a convenient term to indicate a person that is responsible for the technical refinement of publishing including web publishing. The Typesetter does not contribute to editorial content but makes sure that all elements are where they belong. - Ed.
