Tennis aces awarded

PTA Player of the Year, Oliver Diggle with Elizma Nortje and Willie Verdoes.Pro Tennis Academy awarded its best players and winners of the KIA PTA Year-end Tennis Tournament last week.
The level of junior tennis at the past two Kia Pro Tennis Academy tournaments sets the tone for 2012. The highlight of the most recent tournament was the award ceremony where players were awarded for their achievements during this year.
The Sportsman of the Year was awarded to Justin Oelofse with Roshaan Leukes walking away with the Sportswoman of the Year trophy. Oliver Diggle deserved the great accomplishment as Player of the Year.
The Most Improved Player Award of Pro Tennis Academy Annual Awards went to Wynand Conradie and Denise Murorua while Michiel van Zyl took the honour for the Best Performer during 2011.
Kia Pro Tennis Academy tournament results:
Mini Tennis: Carolina Machado (gold), Lisa Yssel (silver) and Dezi Murorua (bronze).
Midi Tennis: Delvin Losper (gold), Kiana Cormack (silver) and Mischa Joas (bronze).
Under 10: Oliver Diggle (gold), Bernard Slabbert (silver) and Wynand Conrade (bronze).
Under 14: Oliver Hoffmann (gold), Christofer Brueckner (silver) and Monique Schulte (bronze).
Intermediate: Tevin Tait (gold), Ronnie Santeri (silver) and Christiaan du Preez (bronze).
Advanced: Justin Oelofse (gold), Erik Imbuzeiro (silver) and Jonathan Langford (bronze).
Since 2011, Kia has been the official sponsor of Pro Tennis Academy and the KIA Pro Tennis Academy Tennis Series.
Willie Verdoes, Kia Namibia’s managing director, said his company is proud of the association and partnership with Nortje and her tennis academy, which adds significant value to Namibian tennis.
