NSFAF inks agreement with Science Commission

The National Commission on Research, Science and Technology (NCRST) this week signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Namibia Students Financial Assistance Fund (NSFAF).
The partnership is to enable both organisations to co-fund Students’ Post Graduate Education in areas as identified in the NCRST’s National Programme on Research, Science, Technology and Innovation (NPRSTI) in line with NSFAF funding and award criteria, and in accordance with the timeframes as required by the applicable Institution of Higher Learning, through jointly issuing calls for application for Postgraduate scholarship and research grants.
“This is a remarkable partnership that will see the further implementation of the National Programme on Research, Science, Technology and Innovation. It is our desire that we will see more students benefiting from this partnership, as well as the Namibian nation as a whole,” said Dr Eino Mvula, CEO of the NCRST.
The NSFAF is mandated, in terms of Act 26 of 2000 is to provide financial assistance in the form of loan/grant to eligible students at approved institutions of higher learning and to recover money from beneficiaries upon completion of their studies.

Typesetter

Today the Typesetter is a position at a newspaper that is mostly outdated since lead typesetting disappeared about fifty years ago. It is however a convenient term to indicate a person that is responsible for the technical refinement of publishing including web publishing. The Typesetter does not contribute to editorial content but makes sure that all elements are where they belong. - Ed.
