Good relationship made better

The Namibian Employers Federation (NEF) and the Namibian Informal Sector Organisation (NISO) have signed a Memorandum of Agreement between the two organisations which aims to improve the already good existing relationship between them. In terms of the agreement NEF will support NISO and their members in any negotiation with Government and local authorities with the aim of improving the business environment of the NISO members.
Another vital part of the agreement will also be to encourage and assist informal sector entrepreneurs to move towards formalisation of their business operations. This being carried-out in accordance with ILO Recommendation 204. The two organisations will also investigate the possibilities of business linkages, forward and backward between larger companies and the NISO members, with the intention to benefit all parties.
