Cenored partners with Mobipay

This relationship was introduced to provide increased access to pre-paid electricity users via innovative and convenient payment solutions that would fit their lifestyles and locations as customers will no longer spend valuable time in queues.
“This new venture underscores Cenored’s commitment to provide the best customer service experience to our customers,” said Kahenge Haulofu, chairman of the Cenored board of directors.
“Electricity is indeed a basic need in our society and no longer a luxury as it was and thus making it an important utility and service for our communities,” explained Cleophas Mutjavikua, Governor of the Erongo Region and chairman of MobiPay.
MobiPay works on all networks and with all mobile phones to transfer money, buy airtime and electricity, make point of sale payments at supermarkets and retailers and pay bills: all from your mobile phone.
The services are easily accessible, user friendly and registration is free at any MobiPay agent or branch. There are no registration fees, monthly subscription fees or any other hidden costs. The consumer sends a payment request via an SMS.
