First ever Whisky Festival coming soon

The first ever Whisky Festival was launched on Tuesday at Hotel Thule and all Whisky lovers can look forward to the event which will take place next year from on 18 to 19 March 2016, at the Dome in Swakopmund.
Judy Allie, founder of Namibia Whisky Festival and General Manager of Ugo Activations said the two day event will welcome Whisky enthusiasts and novices under one roof to mill n mash with renowned Whisky exhibitors under the theme “Connoisseur or Non-Connoisseur. How you enjoy it is up to you”.
“With an exhibitors list featuring the most sought after Whisky’s to sample from, organizers are more than thrilled to unearth the Whisky potential in the Land of the Brave,” she said.
She said that because there is no history, they are able to create their own Whisky story, making it an exciting time to be planning an event of this magnitude.
“The aim of the Festival is to be the forerunner lifestyle event in Namibia by setting a distinguished benchmark on a global scale,” said Judy.
As the first of its kind organizers seek to showcase Namibia and particularly the coastal town of Swakopmund as a holiday destination of choice and to showcase the versatility of Whisky through food pairing, ‘dram-licious’ cocktails coupled with the bitter-sweet taste of chocolates, coffee and live entertainment.
Tickets for the festival are available at Computicket for N$200 and at the door for N$250 which will include a tasting glass, a bottle of water and seven free tasting coupons, additional coupons can be purchased at the festival.
