Sports experts in German for course

The organisation of sports, financing in sports, sports marketing, as well as event management and human resource management are crucial elements for the growth and success of sport in any country.

As part of the foreign cultural and educational policy of the German Foreign Office, the Sports Faculty of the University of Leipzig offers a 5-month course on the topic of ‘Sports Management’ for sports experts from developing countries.
The two Namibians, Mrs. Victoria Katukula, Sports Officer in the Ministry of Sport, Youth and National Service and Mr. Andrew Masongo, President of the Namibian Basketball Federation, are taking part in the ‘Sports Management’ course in Leipzig, which started in October and will run until the end of January 2016.
Mr. Masongo sent a positive report about the course of their studies to the Embassy: “We have visited Berlin and other sports institution, Leipzig has a very rich history in sports. We are very fortunate to be a part of this programme!”
The International Coaching Courses (ITK) look back at 50 years of tradition in Leipzig. Up until today, more than 4000 sports experts from 144 countries have seized this opportunity.

Typesetter

Today the Typesetter is a position at a newspaper that is mostly outdated since lead typesetting disappeared about fifty years ago. It is however a convenient term to indicate a person that is responsible for the technical refinement of publishing including web publishing. The Typesetter does not contribute to editorial content but makes sure that all elements are where they belong. - Ed.
