Night Under the Stars: Another Night Under The Stars at Goethe Centre

The popular Zimbabwean entertainer, Slickartie, is the centre of attraction at the second last Night under the Stars concert scheduled for next week Friday in the courtyard at the Goethe Centre in Windhoek.

Due to popular demand, the Goethe Centre presents Slickartie live in concert on the Night Under The Stars (NUTS) stage.

The Night Under the Stars series has become so popular, the German cultural centre has decided to go for a big local label. Next week Friday, it is popular Zimbabwean singer and entertainer, Slickartie’s turn to light up the sky with his dazzling and captivating performance.
A true African son of the soil, Artwell Slickartie Neusu, or Slickartie as he has come to be known on the Namibian music scene, has seen a rather meteoric rise in the industry, with a number of performances as well as collaborations with some of Namibia’s most in-demand artists.
Hailing from Chegutu outside Harare in Zimbabwe and currently studying at the College of The Arts (COTA) in between making music, he features at some of Windhoek’s trendiest spots on a regular basis.
From modest beginning, armed only with the vision of continuously challenging his creativity, “crazy in that buck sort of way” best describes his personality. A free-spirited musician, artist and creator, he is fond of referring to his sets as musical journeys because of his love for travelling, especially through music traversing through various countries and cultures while learning, and growing in his craft.
Slickartie, before breaking away on his solo musical journey, used to be a part of the Afro fusion band, Savannah Afros. However, these days Slickartie is no doubt every bit the live performer, and musician that works tirelessly to ensure that the different and very unique sound he brought to Namibia, keeps on changing and growing. His sound is a sound like no other, vocals that will leave you mesmerized and a presence that will have you enchanted. Above all, he is a creator and a storyteller!
