The countdown to the crowning of The Namibian Businesswoman of the Year begun this week with a meet and greet between nominees, judges and sponsors on Tuesday. On Wednesday followed the panel judging when all 16 nominees appeared before the judges.

This round was conducted at the Regus Business Centre in Maerua Office Towers in Windhoek. The judging process continues over the next week with workplace visits.

The nominees have to wait until 14 October when the category winners will be announced at the Businesswoman of the Year Gala Banquet. Later that same evening, the winner of the grand title, The Namibian Businesswoman of the Year, will be revealed.
The awards are sponsored by Telecom Namibia, Jaguar, SABMiller, Regus Business Centre, Roots Importers, Eleni Namibia and the Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The scoring is done under the auspices of the auditor, Talita Horn of PriceWaterHouse Coopers.
