Wear anything pink on 03 October

Cancer survivors and supporters joined the CEO of the Cancer Association, Rolf-Jürgen Hansen (seated front left) in a toast to mark the launch of the Hats ‘n Roses event scheduled for 03 October this year. It is the 10th consecutive year that the Cancer Association hosts this key awareness and fundraising project.

Launching this year’s Hats ‘n Roses fundraiser for the Cancer Association, new CEO Mr Rolf-Jürgen Hansen said, “As you can see, the table is made up and we are in high spirits. It is the celebration of the 10th Anniversary of our annual Hats ‘n Roses Brunch for awareness and fundraising in the fight against Breast and Cervical Cancer.

This year’s Hats ‘n Roses event celebrates the Essence of Being a Woman with great entertainment by the popular Namibian singing Diva’s, “Essence” and “Lize Ehlers.”
The Hats and Roses brunch started ten years ago as a small and intimate garden tea and sparkling wine get-together by a group of ladies who wanted to make a difference in the fight against breast and cervical cancer. “As you can see from the wonderful history, it has evolved to one of the most prestigious events on the social calendar of women in Windhoek,” he said.
“I am overjoyed to confirm that so many of our valued project partners such as Distel and Faika’s have journeyed with us and take our hand once more this year, and also have committed to grow with us in the future,” said Hansen.
The Cancer Association invites ladies from across Namibia to join them for Hats ‘n Roses on Saturday, 03 October from 08:00 to 11:00 at the Safari Court Conference Centre. Tickets go for N$350 per lady or N$3500 per table of ten (same as last year!) and there are 700 seats to fill this year. It will be the biggest Hats n Roses event to date!

Tables can be booked with the Cancer Association’s Project Co-ordinator, Suann Esterhuizen via e-mail to [email protected] or telephoning the Cancer Association at 061 237 740.
