Artists invited to submit videos

The chance to see more Namibian music on an international platform has finally arrived. M-Net’s Zambezi Magic, home of local content from Southern Africa, is giving musicians and music producers from the region the opportunity to be part of the magic.

The cable TV operator this week called for local music video submissions in preparation for the launch of the channel’s first two music video shows. The programmes Zeb Top 10 and Zim Top 10 will launch on the channel in October.
MultiChoice stated that this is proof that Zambezi is staying true to its promise of providing the best in local Southern African content, by launching its first music shows this October. They also said that with music being a huge part of entertainment, Zambezi Magic is looking at beefing up its music offering by giving artists and or music producers an opportunity to showcase their craft and talent on the channel.
“The shows will also give viewers the opportunity to vote for their favourite music videos via the Zambezi Magic Facebook page. More information will be provided closer to the launch date,” said Multichoice.
Videos can be dropped off at MultiChoice offices or can be couriered and marked for Gugu Mkhwanazi’s attention or submitted to Gugu at [email protected].
Zambezi Magic Channel 160 was officially launched on 1 July 2015 on Dstv’s Premium and Compact bouquets and it is available in Namibia, Botswana, Malawi, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Roger Gertze, General Manager, MultiChoice Namibia said at the launch that their ultimate goal is to be the go-to channel for quality Southern African-produced shows and to provide viewers with a channel they can trust to bring them local stories made in their own backyards.
