Bank Windhoek to host 7-a-side-soccer

Bank Windhoek will host a 7 a-side soccer tournament for secondary schools at the Windhoek Show. The event will take place from 28 September to 1 October at the show grounds.

In previous years, Bank Windhoek hosted seven-a-side soccer tournaments for farm workers working at the Live Stock Exhibition at the Windhoek Show and last year Bank Windhoek decided to expand the tournament to include secondary schools as well.
Khomas High School walked away with the floating trophy in the schools’ league of the first Bank Windhoek Seven-a-Side Soccer Tournament for Schools, defeating Delta Secondary School in an action packed match.
Secondary Schools that want to compete in the competition can enter their teams of ten players before 14 September. Entry is free and the winning team will receive N$10,000. The runners up will receive N$8,000 in prize money, while the team in third place will receive N$5,000. Games will be played from 27 September to 2 October between 14:30 to 17:30.
