Namsov at forefront of poverty eradication

The Namsov Community Trust believes in sharing and meeting the needs of the nation and early this week handed canned fish valued at N$500,000 for the Drought Relief Programme to the Ministry of Poverty Eradication and Social Welfare. Chief Sustainability Officer and Namsov Community Trust Administrator, Tuna Willem (left), handed the donation to the ministry. Hon. Bishop Zephania Kameeta (right), the Minister of Poverty Eradication and Social Welfare and his team were at hand to receive the drought relief products.

According to the minister this is the first meaningful contribution that his ministry will avail to the Office of the Prime Minister, who in turn will identify the communities most in need. The Prime Minister’s office will be responsible for the distribution. (Photograph by Musa Carter)
