Businesswomen meet in Ongwediva for 16th Conference
A large gathering of more than a hundred businesswomen, professional women and SME owners converged on Ongwediva this week for the 16th Economist Businesswoman Conference.
This annual event has grown in stature and popularity to the point where it completely fills the conference hall at Bennies Entertainment Park. In the bottom left corner of the picture, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance and Namibian Businesswoman of the Year 2013, Ms Ericah Shafudah can be seen waiting with her colleagues for the first presenter to begin.
In her welcoming statement, Ms Shafudah said “To the presenters, congratulations to all of you for having agreed to share with the participants your presentations on the identified and well thought-out topics. It is not by coincidence that you have been chosen to make presentations at this Conference, but it is your wisdom, knowledge and achievements that made you to be unique.” The conference patron is Ms Sala Elago, also a former Namibian Businesswoman of the Year.
