Nedbank Desert Dash is on

Nedbank will open the 2015 edition of the Desert Dash 24 hour, 369km Windhoek to Swakop mountain bike challenge.

An agreement between Nedbank and the principal organiser Aidan de Lange was set. The essence of the popular race will remain largely the same, as the history of the race has proven to be a hit with cyclists and spectators alike over the years.
At the announcement, Nedbank Namibia’s Chief Operating Officer, Richard Meeks said the Bank is excited about the prospect of growing the popularity of the race and adding to its ever-growing reputation as an experience not to be missed.
“Nedbank Namibia can surely be considered as the greatest corporate supporter of cycling in Namibia. With the addition of the Desert Dash to our historic Nedbank Cycle Challenge, as well as the road race and mountain bike series, we are quite excited that we now offer all cycling enthusiasts a singular experience every time they participate in a Nedbank-sponsored event,” said Meeks.
De Lange expressed his delight at the fact that the race that he has nurtured to its current eminence now has a new sponsor on board.
“Nedbank Namibia has always shown that it has the development of cycling at its heart. I am excited to see what we can jointly do to make the 2015 Nedbank Desert Dash the best experience ever, given Nedbank’s proficiency at hosting premier cycling races,” said De Lange.
The entry dates for the event, which is takes place on 11 December this year have already been confirmed. Entries for the Solo Event will open on 31 August while the 2-Man Event will open on 4 September. Entries for the 4-Man Event will open on 11 September.
Further announcements and more detailed information regarding the registration process will be made available on the Nedbank Desert Dash website on 18 August.
“We look forward to working with the entire cycling community to present participating cyclists with an incredibly exciting event,” said Meeks.
